Sub w/ Dual 2 ohms vs. Sub w/ Dual 4 ohms.
Dear All,
I just picked up a Kicker Solo-Baric S12L72 12" subwoofer that has Dual 2 ohms and a Kicker KX600.1 Mono amp to feed the power to it.
My question is that I just saw a Kicker Solo-Baric S12L74 12" subwoofer that has Dual 4 ohms for the same price.
I was wondering should I return the one that I have and purchase the one with the Dual 4 ohms? Is it that much of a difference in sound and quality? Will getting the Dual 4 ohms give me more power from my amp?
Thanks!

read this site, it says no diff in sound. the only diff is in the wire options....

The difference is the amount of power that the amp will put out. You will need to wire the D2 for a 4-ohm load to keep the amp happy. If you get a D4, you can wire it for a 2-ohm load and get about double the power from the amp, which means increased SPL.
