whining/whistling noise in speakers

whining/whistling noise in speakers

When i accelerate i hear a whining/whistling noise in my speakers. How do i get rid of this? I was told i need a filter, but i need more info about this.

you dont want a noise filter.. move your RCAs.. most like interference

Check the grounds to your amp and HU.

so a ground loop isolator wouldn't work?

It might, but why get one if switching grounds could work? At the same time, say you get one and it doesnt work? Noise can come from a few places in your system. Sometimes you can get it from amp grounds, antennas, EQs, factory wire harnesses, and alternators just to name a few.

Bro...I had the EXACT same problem, You have to give a more specific decription of your setup.

I Have comps in front coax in back and an amp powering them, the noise issue was fixed after installing a noise filter on the amp.

Its a bad ground, before you go spending money on filters and what not, clean your grounds out.. sand them down and make sure its metal against metal.
