Clarion DXZ845MC Questions and Options Need Help!!
I just purchased a clarion DXZ845MC deck and I herd that you could hook up a dvd player and round the sound through the deck and run monitors off of it. Is that true? if so what do i need to go that. Is there such thing as just a 1 din motoroized monitor only or a 1 din motorized monitor w/dvd but no amplifier or fm turner?

Could you also hook the clarion 5.1 processor and controller to the deck so you can get 5.1 off of the deck?
I'm in need of help and need to know what I need to by to get to work.

um yea, any indash screen is a single din thats motorized for the most part. If the deck can support the 5.1 then yes, but to me its a complely worthless use of 500$. I would just sell the headunit and buy one w/ a screen since thats wat you seem to want.
Didn't think anyone else would get the clarion DXZ845MC but me...
This unit has RCA input (left and right audio in) for AUX sound source. Press the FNC button and you'll see the display show AUX for the external audio source. If your DVD play has a mini jack (headphones), then you would need to get a mini-to-RCA splitter. The unit also has a feature where the font two speakers and rear speakers can play different audio sources, ie AUX up front and CD in the back. Read the manuel.
As far as I know, you can not run monitors off it nor does it have a video pass through feature like home theater receivers. The video would go directly from the DVD player straight to the monitor.
Yes there are 1 DIN monitors only and 1 DIN monitors with DVD fucntion. They also come in touch screen. You can opt to get a 1 DIN DVD monitor and you would not have to use the DXZ845MC.

A 5.1 processor can be mixed with a bunch of options. Since I've never done a 5.1 processor, I'll let someone else fill this part in.
