Car Stereo experts.. need advice
alright the time has come where the Bose isnt enough for me. I just ordered 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12"'s, now I'm looking to get a pheonix gold amp but dont know the exact one, i'm looking to spend under $500, what are some good choices? Also how does the bose system compare to the infinity kappa perfect component speakers (speakers/tweeters)? I dont know weather its necissary to replace the bose or not. Please reply with any helpful info, thanks
Did you order the Kappa DVCs or just the 4 ohm versions? Assumming you got the more common 4 ohm version, 2 together would give you a 2 ohm load, thus you need an amp that has a stable output at 2 ohms.
As far as Phoenix Gold goes, here are some choices:
QX2350 350x1 @ 2ohm ~$245.00
QX4150 150x2 @ 2ohm ~$245.00
XS4300 150x2 @ 2ohm ~$315.00
XS4600 300x2 @ 2ohm ~$380.00
ZX400TI 400x1 @ 2ohm ~$470.00
ZX475TI 250x2 @ 2ohm ~$615.00
ZX600TI 600x1 @ 2ohm ~$600.00
As far as the Bose vs. the Infinity Perfect components...with the right amp, Id say the perfects are considerably better.
Good luck.
