sub woofer problem (doesnt move)

i got a free sub from a friend because it is broken. When its not hooked up to anything, and you push on the sub's cone, it wont move. What is wrong with this speaker, and can it be fixed?

Some friend......Sounds like if the cone is frozen, then you got a winner. Could be that the voice coil has separated, could be a number of things. Depending on what kind of sub, it may possible to get it fixed either by the factory or by a business that recones speakers.

audiobahn soundQ i think. Its dual voice coil.

I think i might know what the problem is, i think my friend was only powering 1 coil.

Is there any way i could repair the damaged parts by myself?
