Audio Amp Relay Bad in 95 Maxima?
I am new at this so I am hoping someone here can help me out.
The Bose system on 95 went out (the display had gone out long ago but now no sound was coming out). I took out the unit and sent it to be repaired. I received it back plugged it in and the display worked great but still no sound. I called the place that fixed it and they said they tested it before it left and it worked (though they would be willing to pay to have it shipped back). They suggested that it could be the audio amp relay that has gone bad. The service manual says the same thing. The problem is that no one seems to know where it is. I have been ripping apart the whole front trying to find it to no avail. The nissian dealer couldn't find it either (though they didn't look too hard as I wasn't paying them). The service manual says it is near the gear shift but I see nothing that looks like a relay. So...can somebody help me out:
a) Is it reasonable that it might be the relay?
b) Where the hell is it? and how will I recognize it?
THANKS!
