lol good diagram...well the red is power and black is ground. Ground the black wire anywhere, and then gauges will turn on whenever that red wire has power, so if your good at taking your car apart, you can find the wire coming off the steering column that turns on the headlights, and wire power to it. You might want to put a fuse in line to protect your gauges too. See the sticky at the top of the Audio forum for wiring info for your car, which will be the same as the wiring info for the 1997 posted in there.

what is this button? youll have to test it out, it might just be an on/off switch, so that you can just hook it up to a constant or switched power source without going under the dash for the headlight wire. When I had my indiglos a while back, I was lazy and tapped it into the radio illumination wire (wire that turns on your radios internal lights with the headlights), so theyd turn on with the headlights. then i had a little switch like that one you speak of, but it had no wires i needed to connect. it was just a switch for blue or green, and brightness.

its a button not a switch. so if for me to wire it up to the headlights then i would need to take the steering column
