Armelius's POMOFOCO Sound Deadening
Armelius's POMOFOCO Sound Deadening
Went to Homie Depo and picked up some Shelving Liner, it's white, thick, and low priced for 4'x 16"= 9 bux.
Two doors took 18 dollars worth and only about an hour and a half time. Spent too much time trying to hook up the door light, second door I didn't take it off just proped it up.
Line up the liner to the top of door and then size. Leave the plastic sheet on the door. Take some duct tape and tape liner to the inner door (after the panels are off). Cut for electrical wiring just wide enough to slip the connector through then tape closed.
Also, cut for the metal bar that looks like the handle. Just a slit like for the connectors and then tape together.
One sheet will get most of the door then cut about a little over 2" to cover the bottom and tape together. Then tape the bottom.
Place door panel back on and you will be able to tell the difference not just from the wind noise but also from tire noise. Might be about 20 db improvement.

Don't have pics. Time was crucial. Don't have time for all that. You cut the padding (it's rubbery but not foam) to the door panel moisture barrier but leave that bearier on making sure it's all tight. Then get busy with the duct tape.
Super simple. Three screws taking off the panel. Remove the hand cup and the opener cup in the door, first one pops out after you take out the screw then the other has to be pried out it is held in with upper connectors (not really clips).
Main thing is making sure all of it is covered and fairly air tight with the duct tape.
There is significant difference in the noise reduction.
Two door for 18 bux it's worth it. And that shelving material is moisture and bacterial resistant. It's what people might use for metal shelving so that the items will not slip, it will form to the wire shelf because it is slightly plyable.
