Another aftermarket bose question

Well im trying to install an aftermarket HU into my 94 bose system. I bought all the neccesary items to swap it out, but the head unit blinks on and off with power.. i tried every wiring scenario i could try but at best it just blinks on and off continuously.. Anybody got a clue what the deal is?

your constant source or turn on source wire is screwed up for the HU. Dont randomly try things unless you want to fry it. check the harness connections and color codes between the HU instructions and whatever wiring kit you used colors.

Check if you put the terminal back on the battery correctly. Me and my friends were installing a HU and it kept going on and off because we forgot to hook up the battery correctly.

I think I would get a tester and make sure the wire you are using as power wire has constant power even if the key is on/ off. It should have continuous power, if it does, check your remote turn on, It should be off when the key is off, and have power when key is on. Also make sure you have a good ground connection, I've had problems with my grounding wire before, If you are grounded to something that has paint on it, you may need to sand it, same as rust, get it off. I just hope your "trying every scenario" didn't already hurt the head unit. Good luck

+1 to making sure it has a good ground. It could also be in the wiring harness, like a bent pin. You really need a DMM or test light. Test before and after the harness to make sure you have constant 12 volts.

There is no ground in the factory harness. And if you disagree, go look at both sides of the harness, the factory side that corresponds to the ground wire on the aftermarket harness.
