Problem with monitors powering up.

I have two sunvisor lcds and i cannot get either one to power up. there is a red wire, a black wire and 2 video inputs. i connected the red wire to a 12v source, the black wire was grounded and the video input is connected to my ps2. Can anyone think if a reason that this isnt working??

Thanks

Just check your source, cigarette lighter is always known to be good. Have they powered on before from the head unit power wire or anything? I had this problem in my explorer, the source for power turned out to be hooked up wrong by my friend.

check what the voltage is at the red wire. possibly overloading the circuit.
