How do I stop the speakers from poping?

I installed a Pioneer deck today with Bose speakers. Everything works except when changing radio stations and between cd and radio the speakers make a loud poping sound. Is there anyway to stop them from doing that? Thank You

I'm really not sure, but lets get a little more info and maybe we can help you. First, off, did you have the bose system or the stock radio before installing the new deck?
Any amps installed? Is it a new deck you installed or did you buy it used? You might want to check the ground on the head unit. Make sure you have a good ground and make sure it isn't on a painted surface, if it is, remove and sand paint off.

I had the bose system completely. the deck went bad so i put in a used pioneer deck. I bought it new but it was in another car so i dont think its the deck. There are no aftermarket amps just the bose one. thanks

I have kinda the same problem. I think i do know how to fix it. My stalk bose speakers make a pop sound when I turn my stereo on, between songs and so forth. I am using the RCA cables to go to the bose amps.
I am using the remote wire out of the back of my panasonic deck for two things right now. The one is for the Bose amps, the other for my Sub amp.
I think if i place the remote wire from the bose amps to the cig lighter in the car, the stereo will only pop when I turn the car on and off. The next thing I will do is add a capacitor and a diode to the power on to the deck, this will make the deck turn off AFTER the amps, thust the amps wont play the "pop" noise out the speaker. There is a link for this, I will see if I can find it again, I saved it as a txt file at home (work now)

Here's just a thought, I'm sure your Head unit has a small amp in it, prolly somthing like 40 watts per channel or something, so actually you have two amps hooked up. I could be way off, but this might not be a good idea. I know on my alpine unit, you can disable the head unit amp, it says in the manual you get better sound quality, don't know about that. Anyway, it was just something you might want to consider. just trying to give you some ideas. good luck.
