sub problems

so i blew the speaker wire from the cone to the terminal. i just tried soldering it using the tin wire that comes w/ the soldering kit and couldnt get the speaker wire to hold to the terminal. is there a better wire im supposed to use to solder the speaker wire to the terminal? the tin wire that comes w/ the kit seems flimsy and crap. wat am i supposed to use to melt the speaker wire to the termnial?

grab some rosin core solder from radio shack. clean off the metal terminal and heat up the solder, do not just stick the solder on the terminal and melt it with the iron. what sub is this?

the tinsel leads shouldn't be TOO stiff, since it got to move with the sub or else it'll just rip itself apart.
