Ok, so I was thinking about wiring an im my car, but got stuck on something...

In my 2000 Max, I want to put in a 4 channel amp, but I'm stuck on figuring out on wiring. I have a feeling I shouldn't put speakers wire alongside power cables, because of alternator whine, I don't know if it's true or myth, but nonetheless, I can't figure out any other way to wire my speakers...

I plan on running power (pos. 12v) on the left side of my car, but then I also have to wire my left speakers from the amp (amp will be in the trunk, screwed onto back of seat), so wouldn't it be inevitable for the power and left speaker wires to meet?

Or is there another trick I don't know about?

Run the speaker wires along the right side of the car and then bring then across the front dash to the left door.

Exactly. And while we're talking about it, any alternator whine will most likely result from poor grounding, not aligning speaker wires alongside power cables. But, all things being equal, it won't hurt to run them separately either.

running signal wires next to power wires usually wont result in alternator whine, that's usually caused by ground loops. However, depending on the current draw and/or size of those power wires, EM Interference can sometimes be an issue
