DVD Player software differences?

I have some music videos on my computer that I want to convert to DVD format so that I can watch and listen to them in my car DVD player.

So I'm using nero, which transcode thems and burns them to a DVD-RW. I put the DVD into my Sony DVD payer in my living room and it runs ok with good video to my TV. I then take the same DVD to my Rosen DVD player in my car and it won't load. I don't know why? I put in a regular DVD movie and it works fine.

So I took a regular CD and burnt some of the music videos to it in VCD format, using nero again. Put it in my Sony DVD player and it works. I put it into my car's Rosen DVD player and behold it works also. What's the deal?

Should I try using a different brand DVD disk, a DVD-R disk or is there a software difference that is not letting me watch burnt DVD's on this player.

Any have a clue or suggestions?

I'm in the process of burning some videos in VCD format onto a DVD-RW to see if that works.
