but Don isnt he talking about having a bose hu as well? i dont understand? i mean if you do get a aftermarket hu then you just need the harness and run the subs off the rca from the hu right?
but with a bose hu how else are you going to get a signal to the amp?

The signal comes from the Bose HU. There is no power coming from the HU itself, just a signal to the amp. Tap Female RCA leads into the signal wires, then run your RCAs as you normally would with an aftermarket HU.

Here a pic for reference..

You dont Cut any wires. Just tap into them. The roll is reversed if adding an aftermarket HU, splice the same wires but with Male RCA ends, then plug into the preout section of the aftermarket HU. It is strongly advised that you have two sets of preouts from the aftermakret HU.

It's official, i just ordered the PAC AOEM-NIS2 off cobymoby today, it's gonna save me a lot of hassle, and will give me flexibility when it comes time to change other audio components in the car
