time to rework my system...got questions

What I have now is the absolute crap components in the doors and coaxs in the rear that came with the car from the previous owner, and 2 10" pioneer crap subs that I had in my old car. I also have one each 2x50 and 2x100 kenwood amps. I'm looking to replace the speakers in the car, and I still want decent bass, but overall I'm trying to go for a real low weight so my car can be fast, but still sound good.

I'm thinking of going with CDT components and coaxs, but I need some ideas to get just a bit more bass in the system. Has anyone ever done something like putting 8" subs in the doors? Or one in the center console?

I know lightweight doesn't equal good bass at all, but there has to exist some good mix.

I'd like to reuse both of the amps I have and I'm happy with my HU. Any ideas?
