distortion from a hi low? dam thats not good. i just disconnected all the rear bose and plugged in the rcas for the sub amp to the hu. now the highest my hu goes is 35, but you dont really feel the bass till after 24 or so. im trying to sell it but im kind of tight with money right now. i mean i promised my self my next hu has to be an indash. but i guess i got to go with another hu. is it because it is 1.8 volts? how much volts do you think a hi low puts out? 4?

Black maxima its a capacitor it puts stress on the altenator and is kinda useless, but i got it for a good price {20dollars] what the hell? lol na it suppose to give your system more voltage when the car is off, and full 14.4v

btw im runing my 4awg wire right now.

ill clean everyting up and post pix again probably at the end of tonite

Don im bringing the car over, i just fawked everyting up. ok so i took out my 8 awg power wire, and tried to put it my 4awg. now i had to cut all the ends and all this bs, and now when i finally got the fawken wire through the hole and iinto the trunk the shiets too short!! so im like fawk it im going to run back my 8awg wire, then when i put the fuse holder thing on the wire the fawken screw on the fuse holder got lost now im screwed. i have a circuit breaker from pheonix gold but ive never used a circuit breaker and i dont know if its better than the fuse or not. neways my cars a mess, i took out my sub and my hu rca outputs are soooo low

and the funny thing is today i was saying to my self how much i enjoyed my music but what the fawk

amps and sub looks good, I really like that sub especially. the afore 20 plus posts are the reason I haven't posted pics of my install yet, although I will have to say I don't have ANY bare wire showing, that skeeeeeers the .... out of me. Mine just looks like a big spaghetti soup of wires in the back. reason being is its cold as chit out right now, and I didn't want to cut them too short. My box isn't even covered right now. I think everyone understands about the mess, but please, do something about the bare wires...... You're living on the edge right now. good luck

nobody cares about wires unless its like a show care and then people are like wtf? but with 2 da max and his daily car audio drama, those wires just add to his aura.

Don which is better an inline fuse holder or a circuit breaker? my friend gave me his pheonix gold circuit breaker, im thinking of using that instead because i lost the screw for my fuse holder

A breaker is more convenient, thats about the only benefit.

so you would chose an inline fuse holder over a breaker?

For cosmetic purposes yes and I have, although my fuse holder costs more than any breakers do.

they do the same thing like a house breaker plus you don't have to buy breakers over and over again like if you blow fuses they can just be tripped and then you reset them and for working on your stereo you can push the switch to "break" the current so you won't get sparks and stuff...

Call me crazy but a capacitor doesn't work like you said, putting a strain on the alternator and allowing you full power when the car is off. The capacitor is indeed a big battery, but the power it stores is only for short bursts. This is because when bass hits the amps draw more power, causing lights to dim, etc... The capacitor helps to keep your voltage levels stable when the volume is cranked! Anyways the equipment looks good, just gotta fix the wiring mess, if only for safety reasons...
