rear speakers quit

Last summer i was cruisin around when my rear speakers just quit. I have a 1995 GLE with the Bose system. I've never bothered to get at the headunit cuz it looks hard to do to see what might have happened, but does anyone have any ideas what could have happened for them to just quit? From what i've checked its not a fuse issue. If i need to, what is the best way to get the headunit out of the dash? Thanks

ok joking aside, Bose sucks and I wouldnt be surprised if the Bose deck or amps were bad. Good way to test? Take one door off, and remove the bose amp/speaker. Plug this into the harness for the rear bose amp.

To take your cd player out, you have to remove the console around the shifter. Then the ashtray comes out with screws and clips. The a/c vents and top portion of the dash will pop out, and then you will see screws on top and on bottom holding in the double din and separate pocket etc.
