03 Bose > No adapter?

Hey so I picked up a Kenwood KDC-X789 hu from a local store and the guy just gave me a 10 dollar adapter for 95up Nissans and said that since my car is late 02 i can just connect the plugs into the harness he sold me and just match up cables to the new head unit....seems a little too good to be true especially since everyone is using 50 dollar units to maintain use of the old bose amp/speakers/sub....

sorry if this is a n00b question but im really not sure? any help really appreciated b4 i screw something up.

there are harnesses from the factory like that, plug and play, and most hi lo convertors are 20 bucks to be honest.

supposely if you have a bose unit in your car, you will have to rewire the whole thing to hook up an aftermarket system
