Speaker size?

I've heard that we have to use 6 3/4" speakers for the rear to fit the old drill holes if not installing Bose.Is this true?I plan of getting a replacement for the front and rear and need to know what size I can put in and if there is redrilling that I would have to do.I coudn't find the links that I saw before which would tell me what mounting depths or size is max for the front and rear.I need more bass.Any recommedations is welcome also.Components is what I'm shooting for but will sacrifice different tweeters to mid combo.

These are the speakers I have in my front doors. http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/speakers/kar_265.htm When I say they fit perfectly, I'd say that that's an understatement. http://www.arcaudio.com/arc-05/speakers/kar_6022.htm These are in the rear and they fit like a dream as well.

So 6.5" will also work.
