Bought Jensen LCD DVD Unit
Bought Jensen LCD DVD Unit
I just ordered a Jensen VM9510 in-dash DVD/LCD monitor. I was wondering if I need to replace all inside speakers, because I was told that the Bose speakers wont work with any other reciever. Hopefully the person doesnt know what they're talking about.
You can do a couple of things. You can
1) Hook it straight up to the Bose amps like rykat said, in which case your speakers will essentially have two amps powering them. The bose deck isnt an internal amp, so by adding this deck, your speakers will be amped by the deck and the bose amp. Not reliable, could last a week could last a year depending on the deck and how much you use/abuse it, etc, and just luck.
2) Buy the Pac or Scosche adapter which takes the speaker output from the deck and basically tones it down so usable with the bose amp.
3) Take the ends of RCA cables. Plug them into your deck for both front and rear. Cut them and wire these straight in, so that this unamplified signal will go to the bose amp. For example, on your right preout, you have red and white. Red is right and white is left, and when you cut each individual one, there will be two wires inside. Wire these straight to your aftermarket wiring harness. This is gonna be the most cost effective route and will work fine.
