basslink keeps blowing fuse

the local shop installed a basslink in my 2000 se per housecors writeup and it worked for a day, the 20 amp fuse on the basslink was blown and every time i try to put a new one in it blows immediatelly, u cant even insert it and it blows. so i went to circuit city and exchanged the basslink myself and hooked it up and it worked fine, then later on that nite the same thing! fuse blown and i cant replace it still blows. i have 8gauge to the battery with a inline fuse. 8gauge ground, and i am usung the 2 rear speaker inputs on the basslink line level input. i am wondering if the bose could be sending out too high of a signal???? the basslink says acceptable 1volt to 16 volt on the input. help please this is 2nd one in 2days.
