Anyone have a write up to hardwire their IPOD?
I know I've seen some people do it. Does anyone have a write up, pictures included would be nice. I have an IPOD mini that I would like to set up. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to be getting the iPod interface by Alpine in a few days. It seems to be the best way to use an iPod in your car because you don't have to fiddle with finding songs on the ipod while you're driving. You can control everything through your Alpine head unit.
Once I get mine installed I'll let everyone know how it works.

If you don't have an Alpine head unit or don't want to buy one I would just use an auxillary cable. I've tried the iTrip FM modulator-don't waste your time with that.

Yeah, I heard the iTrip was a waste of money. I'm using a regular cassette adapter and it sounds pretty good. I just wanted to clean up the look a little bit by hiding the wire or hardwiring it somehow.

DONT BUY THE ITRIP, IT BLOWS MONKEY ****, 4 of my friends have it, it sucks, its hard to find a clear station, and quality blows anyways. get an aftermaket headunit with audio ins, by the adapter, and then get a headphone to rca adapter and then youll not only be able to hook up your ipod, but alos your laptop, or a portable dvd player, or any thing with a headphone jack!
