How do you like Alumapro BP-12 (please post)
Hey guys/gals. Does anybody have this big boy? and if you do how do you like it. I heard that ported boxes tend to have a lot of delay... I listen mostly to trance, hiphop, and rock. I have heard only good things about them, but would like to know from fellow maxima owners. thank you

Well, not familiar with that specific product, but Alumapro is a VERY great company. I called them and talked to a guy there (for about a half an hour!) about the Rainbow line and they are VERY knowledgeable and know what the hell they are doing. Great products and great customer service. Im sure any product they sell is top of the line, but maybe someone here will be able to help you specifically on your inquiry.
Only heard the BP10....and OMG its freggin' insane, that thing puts out crazy bass ....the finish on the enclosure itself is very rich and upscale-I believe its an Alumapro Alusonic sub with that custom enclosure for it-a very nice package, my buddy is about to put one in his bimmer and ditch his pair of sealed 10's.
FYI- Alumapro is the innovator of many things-have been in the business for a LONG time- they were the first to incorporate aluminum cones onto subwoofers.

yeah, i heard the 8, 10, and 12 at a stereo place by my house, it was unbelievable. Only problem i have though is i donno how crisp and clean the bass will sound with the enclosure in my car. I am planing on getting the bp-12 if a guy i was talking to deciedes on selling his, and a zapco 350.2 amp to run it, and it should be the best sound i can get out of it. and if not, il get a Alusonic 12 in a sealed box wich is what i initially wanted with the zapco amp. I am exited because either way itle sound awsome!

Dont your dealer have a demo BP10" that they can throw in your trunk to audition it? My alumapro dealer does....
If you end up going sealed, ditch the alusonic idea and def get an Alchemy MX or RX- you'll thank me

I have the BP10 in stock always now just for customers to demo. I havent received ANYthing less than a surprised look when they hear 1 10
Like posted above Alumapro has been around for quite some time and definately know what theyre doing. Theyve won several awards over the years for their products and continue doing so. They just need to pick up a bit on Marketing.

there's just too much crap bandpass setups out there
I know. i personally really dont like bandpass because i listen to psychedelic trance, and there is usually delay in the kick. When i heard the monster sound, as well as the crisp, clean hits it was reproducing, i was sooooooooo shocked. the demo arc i heard it in didnt do it justice because the store is huge. But it filled the store, and sounded very solid (scary thing is that the sub was barley moving because it was running from a tiney alpine!) It was loud, and full! Best bandpass box i have ever heard. a buddy of mine has two 12 inch CVR's in bandpass and they are loud, but no way as crisp as this sub. ANd with the zapco amp it will be amazing. UuUUUUGGGHHH i cant wait!!!

When you place an order for an Alchemy RX they specifically ask you if you want for the application intended , SQ or SPL- and they make motor adjustments for your application/intended enclosure. There was a time when SQ competitors used nothing but Alchemy MX's- they have a good track record in competition and SQ crowds. These days with factory direct internet brands you just dont hear much about them. Kinda like some other brands, they dont have to overextend themselves marketing, when the people that know about the product, know what its about- look for it.
Heres some reviews you can look at for the BP-12...
http://www.carreview.com/car-audio/s...4_1808crx.aspx
As you can see, a solid 5 of 5 rating.
Heres more reviews towards the bottom of the page on Alumapro subs..
http://www.carreview.com/car-audio/s..._00_50crx.aspx
As you can also see they have received 4.5 of 5 or better ratings on all of them. With the exception of some idiots posting on the M16.
