speakers 91 non-bose.
i need some advice on what front and rear speakers i should get to replace my factory ones in my 91 max. the stereo in there now is the non-bose, and i really dont want to spend more then 200 on all 4 speakers. i dont need a system u can hear down the street. i just want something that will sound nice and clean. i have a pioneer deh-p6700mp h/u and maybe in the future ill add a amp and some subs but not right now. thanks in advance.
i'd just go to your audio store and listen to each speaker and see which one you like the best. fyi, the front speaker size is 4x6 and the rear is 6.75 (but most 6.5" will work just fine.) check out www.geocities.com/craigbrace for more info on speaker removal/installation.
but as for some suggestions, if you must stick with stock front speaker size, i'd look into getting the boston acoutics fx7 4x6. they're about $100 from Tweeters. i had a pair before i upgraded to some 6.5s (with the help of some speaker mounts i bought from james92se, which allowed me to install the larger speakers up front.) they sounded good, nice mids with soft highs. then you got 100 dollars to spend on the rear.

yeah, you'll be much happier with his speaker mounts and larger speakers up front. if you're not going to amp the interior speakers, i would look for something with a good efficiency ratings to put all available power to good use.
i would spend more on the front than the rear. most of the sound will be coming from the front speakers, not the rears. i'm a big boston acoustics fan, and i think even their entry level speakers sounds good. kind of hard to say which you will like, but it's best to go have a listen to different speakers and see which one you like.
