upgrade? yay or nay
I'm thinking of replacing my current head unit. I bought a Sony CDX-M630 back in 2002, before I knew anything about car audio and because the Wiz was closing down and I saved $100. I've been thinking of replacing it with a Clarion DXZ745MP. My current setup can be seen here. I've never really had a problem with it and I like the way it makes my speakers hit. I'm also kind of in that mindset of if its not broken don't fix it. I just want to know if I'll hear a difference in headunits.
What do you guys think of the switch? Any other suggestions. I don't want to spend too much($250 max) and I want something with a motorized faceplate, the flip-down kind just annoy the hell out of me. Any suggestions and comments are appreciated.

yay to the upgrade, but get rid of anything Pyle in your car first, god how i would hate to see the word pyle on my in dash screen.
Clarion > Sony > Pyle.

Umm...how do you figure that its a better value than the Clarion ProAudio. That Clarion is more than $100 cheaper at places like HookedOnTronics, and will perform just as well if not better than the Alpine. Both are older models and out of stock at Crutchfield. The 9833 has a 5 band EQ, that Clarion has a 2 band, other than that NO huge differences at all. And Clarions got a 2 year warranty, Alpines got 1 year, but you might have a tough time finding either of those from authorized dealers to get warranty since theyre both older models. Id save the extra $100, definitely not worth it, and put it into upgrading other parts of your system. Alpines saving grace is that they came out with a Sirius tuner for their decks IMO, because Clarions are Siruis ready and XM blows goats. So if your talking value, the Clarion is DEF the way to go.
