stock bose system only works when i disconnect the battery
my stock bose system has a new problem (big surprise right?). if the car has been sitting for more than about 5 hours, when i get in and turn on the car, the headunit wont turn on. the only way to get it to turn on is to disconnect the battery, then reconnect it, and it will work fine. and if i turn off the car for an hour or 2 it will still work when i come back, but say for like whne im at work or over night, after like 5 or 6 hours, ill have to disconnect the battery. anyone ever encountered this before? the fuse is fine and it was working fine up until a few days ago when this just randomly came up.
I had a problem with my Stock Bose system (until I replaced it) that when I tried to put a cd in, the whole system went dead. I found that if you fiddle with the wires in the back of the unit, It came back on (but the CD player still didn't work) I would be careful about disconnecting the battery every time you let the car sit for a few hours. It may start to mess with your ECU. Try the wires in back of the HU first...
