Amp Rack In Progress *pics*
Amp Rack In Progress *pics*
Ok, so here are some early pics of my amp rack setup. It consists of a partial false floor and a facade in which the openings will be covered by plexiglass windows. The facade will house the amplifier and the crossovers. I have some VERY special plans for those, hopefully it should be well underway tommorow afternoon.

This is a picture of the false floor, the front facade, and the plexiglass windows.

Mounted in the trunk...fits nicley! Notice how it sits completley FLUSH...I leveld out one end to it sits on a perfect 180-degree level.

Waiting for the glue to cure for the amp/x-over boxes. The sides of the x-over/amp cases are going to have a laminate I custom ordered from Home Depot
And this is for some very special projects I am lining up...the azzhole I bought the mat from on EBay is taking his sweet fvkcing time mailing it out so all I can do is anxiously wait...

Lemme know what you think!

If I were faiberglassing the fram then I would worry about it, but since I will be capreting it I will be able to get away with it. Good eye.
and too, even with carpeting, it makes it look extra nice when you can run a roundover bit over all of the corners. Just make sure that before you carpet if that you block sand the uneven cuts to get them flat, and remember that quality comes in the details. And too, if you need any advice on anything at all juet hit me up in a PM.

Well, after working for 10 HOURS on this today, I have cut the laminate and started assembling this boxes. After cutting the laminate I spent most of the day trimming and sanding millimeters here and there to get the cuts juuuust right. Here is how the amp & first crossover box look - the other x-over box was still curing at the time. After reading Plurco's advice, I am going to scrap the facade I have right now and make a whole new one...it'll take me less time to cut a new one than it would to fill the pilot hole pits, sand the burrs, and even it out. This project is gonna take alot long than I thought! I will have more pics up on Monday night...hopefully I will have the tops finished then along with a "special" set of cut-outs...

We all know 2 da Max can't make up his mind. I've seen him go through at least 5 different setups, and I don't he even went through with one of them...

Now my little project when I get back... there's only there's only 5 people who know EXACTLY what I'm doing.
Me, my wife, and the guys @ Mobile FX. Ohhh, it's going to be so sweet when it's done.

Yeah, but so does half the people I'm working with. And I just posted what I'm planning on for my Maxima. But the actual full setup for the truck... all the nice particulars are secret. I'll make sure plenty of pics are taken though.
Of course I'm going to work on the Maxima... here.http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=393677
