system going in tommorow. one question?

My 2003 max goes in tommorow at local audio shop, they are putting in 2 10' kicker comp vr subwoofers in a custom built box facing into the cab, its being powered by a kicker kx250.2 2 channel amp all hooked up threw the factory bose headunit. One question i have, will a normal line converter work off the headunit or i need that one from pac audio "oem-nis-2 I think" the audio dealer told me the only difference from the one he has and that pac one is that his needs to be soldered in, the other one is plug and play, he said if u want the pac one he will order it for me, should i get the pac one? or is he right about what he said?

Wont matter. Just solder in the normal LOC at the rear deck to the Bose sub, because if you tap it off the door speakers your subs will sound like crap because the bose amp is crossed over so that less bass goes to the door speakers. But the shop should know this.

Well the shop hooked it up today and I doesnt sound good, he said he will have to order the pac audio line converter, Iam not sure where he tied it into though. Your saying he should tie it into the sub wires to the bose sub? is that with the bose sub unhooked or should i leave it pluged in?

Im curious as to how he connected it...high level input?

I would disconnect Bose, and run the PAC converter off of the Bose sub's wires.
