pwr antenna help needed

pwr antenna help needed

hey there everyone i just finished installing a pioneer 7600mp in my car and now everytime the hu turns on the pwr antenna goes up :S any way that i can stop this and have the antenna only go up when the hu is in radio mode thanks

I'd would say no. It's an internal function of the HU telling the antenna when to go up. The only way you could do this is if there were an option within the HU, but that's highly unlikely.

i had the same problem so i just cut the power antenna wire behind the headunit and problem solved

Add a switch to the antenna remote lead. Then you can put the antenna up and down manually.

I don't think that Pioneer decks come with a remote turn on wire (amp remote wire) and a power antenna wire.

Doesn't your antenna stay up all the time then?

That's why he'll have to split the remote wire and add a switch to the one going to the antenna.

dammit this isnt cool at all i hate when my antenna is up i think im ust going to pull the fuse for it if there is one if not i guess ill just have to live with it cuz im preety much anoob to all of this installation stuff this hu and the microvision creen were the first car audio things ive installed

my max works fine without antenna, I've trashed 2 already 1 in a car wash, the other just broke. Now im just running off the antenna built into the back window works great. I get reception in my underground parking structure. Power antenna=overrated and nuisance
