I just put in an order for the Sony Mex-5. It won't be out for another 4 to 6 weeks, but with a reputation like Sony has, it's worth the wait. Looks great too.

I have a Pioneer DVH-P500MP and I love it. It's a little more expensive but worth it in my opinion.

What does the MP3 screen on that look like? I listen to alot of MP3 cd's and that is important to me and mine now is boring and I want to upgrade to a stationary TV with a seperate reciever but don't know about the MP3 screen.

It's just a side scrolling 32char name display. It will display the root name (cd name), the folder name, the song title, etc by pressing the display button. But if the name of the file is longer than 32 it will not display all of it. I don't find it to be a problem. I only wish the mp3 info would be displayed on the video screen. It doesn't.

it's not bad at all, and you can get it in bestbuy for $269 last time I checked...the only thing I don't like is that the display looks kind of dull..
