Anyone with directions on how to put an overhead screen in a 4th Gen?
Would appreciate it. Need to routw wires throgh pillar but do not want to do so until I know how to take them off. Any help on mounting ets would also be helpful. Thanks guys.
I did an overhead install in a friend's mazda. First take out the pillars and the headliner. We used light gauge steel strips and attached them to the framing beneath the roof (be careful where you are screwing/drilling) and then attached the monitor to those strips. You'll have to use the manufacturer's info as to how large a hole to cut in the headliner, the one we had to do was quite large. As far as wiring goes we ran some of it down the front pillars and some of it down the side pillars where the seat belts are. If yours was anything like this one there will be a ton of wiring to run (zip ties are your friend). Once finished though it was solid as a rock, looked like it was stock and worked great. Good luck and what ever you do be patient. Rushing it will only screw it up.
