has anyone gotten the new Alpine Type R's yet. Im looking at them on the website and it seems the design has really changed and they cna handle more power now. anyone know the differnce in sound quality from the sub or does it preform the same way? if its an all around better sub then it looks like i may have to upgrade

yea im wonderin the same i might get 2 10s i dont know yet ... they look great in the pics tho and 500 RMS each would be sick

i heard them at my dealersshop, they sound pretty good. they seem to hit much harder than the old typer, even thought they were in a sealed box. its a nice design though

I just got 2 12's (2005 model) and right now I have one in my old bandpass box and it hits really good real deep. The box it is in isnt even made for those subs, have another on the way, and it still sounds better with just one of these then 2 of my others. If you want comparitive pics and my current set up check my cardomain page I got alot of pics to give you an idea. Definately happy with my purchase.
