I guess that's why I never got married to a rich girl. I speak american, and some german... but have a hard time with English..

2 Da Max has a hard enough time with american... he has too much NY in him.

I know this is old, but I wanted to comment. The louder you play a system, you will notice a gain in distortion and a loss of clarity. To me, this sounds bad. When you crank most systems you will either notice breakup of highs or lows. If your midrange or midbass goes, then you need some new speakers!

But where's the fun in NOT shaking everything in the car (or truck in my case)????

Besides, they can have a two fold purpose. Give awesome bass and rumble to songs... and give a great back massage.

So what would happen if I added that MC1100D amp onto my system. And have 1100 watts @ 1ohm pushing those subs instead of 500 watts @ 2 ohms...

would that possibly be total annihilation?

A properly tuned system with quality products shouldnt have distortion regardless of the level.
