People who sell System and say they never pound it hard.....

ok, i am not directing this at anyone, nor i am sure of this.

this is just my thoughts.

with that out of the way:

it really cracks me up to see people selling their systems either here or anywhere else and saying they never cranked their systems loud or hard.

i mean come on now, y the heck u spend dough on a system if u never gonna crank it?

$hit i know i pounded the bejesus out of my old kicker L5 15" and the baby still can pound with no problems (although way too much rattling).

now, my new diamond subs, although Don said not to crank them for the first 10 hours of play.......guess what, i crank the **** outta these bad boyz every minute i get a chance of driving my car, they make me happy.

if i install a system in my car, is cuz i wanna loud and good sounding system.

I know some of you put on systems just for show, not my style tho, if u gonna show it, let it be heard god damn it!

just my .02 (i didn't have $hit else to do at work)

boredom at work does wonders eh?

i put in a system so that i can get good sounding music...and not muddy junk that came stock in my car. i don't blast it all the time because frankly, i get tired of bass at times. but when i do blast it......

i broke in my typer for 8hours.

neways i cranked the shiet out of all my systems, i just dont put the gain past 75percent because of distortion and i dont want to blow the speakers.

some says break in procedures are over-rated. unless the suspension/spider is superstiff, i don't think breaking in a sub for that long will do anything. i blasted my tens after i installed them, and they still sound/work great. my $.02

only subs i know of that i readily hear of needing a break in period are ID max's. however, "break in" is a good idea so you can verify the integrity of the install: such as making sure of no box leaks, setting the gain , xover (notice how i dont say bass boost because bass boost= teh gay) and to see and hear the subs limits to get an idea of how hard you can push them.

My roommate has Boston SL65's, NX97's, and a Boston 12.5LF. None of which were ever beat on when he sold them, truly, because he claims his hearing is sensitive from playing drums when younger. But theres no way to verify anything...so why buy used? Save your money for real equipment

I have 1 12 inch type R and i dont really make it too loud, i got it just for that lil extra umph. Even when i do put it up pretty loud, it cant bareley be heard outside, it pounds just right for me, but it also depends on the type of music you listen to also, i mean if you listen to punk/alternative like i do, too much bass make the music bad, if you listen to techno/progressive music, all the bass is gonna be nice, almost the same thing with rap music.

I pound mine hard... but not to the point of distortion... that's what made my RF Punch Z's last for 3 years now.

You can feel my subs 3 cars down when I have the windows rolled down. And get a good body massage anywhere on my truck with the windows rolled up. It's all in tuning, and break in.

i dunno if it's just me but when my system was 100% stock, even ten i used to blast it with the bass all the way up and treble around 60%.

i listen mostly to rap, reggaeton and trance, bass is a must!

Girls be loving all the bass, although my girl really hates it.

well i know that i pound the ever living sh!+ out of it. My goal is to be able to pull someone over by playing a siren sound on my stereo. Other words i want it really loud! But also really clear. im the kind of person that throws away a cd tthat has a tick on one of the songs. Cant stand it. I've also got a full PA system at the house with 2 18's and 4 fullrange club series speakers with a 15 in each one! Talking about rock da house!

Lots of reading on this forum, and no posting yet. Hello to all.

Seriously, part of why it gets stolen is because you advertise!
If everyone can hear your shizz, you become a target!

I was considering the CTS Sport/Luxury. After getting into it the interior felt like a Cavalier with alot of options .... Not exactly what I expected from a $45K car.

My dad just leased a 2k5 STS (2 bad its the v6 but it has every factory option that the v6 can get) for 399 a month for 36 months with 1.5k down. i thought it wasnt a bad deal at all. he wants to race me when i come home too.

The little scale icon at the bottom of each post ....

Thats because GM/Cadillac has about $8K in rebates/incentives right now. Although theyll only tell about $3500-4500 I was looking into the fully loaded CTS, Every available option in White Diamond ($995) my payments would have been about the same as your dad with no money down.

When did the little green box come around???? I've never noticed it before, but I did know about the reputation deally... LOL. Plain moronic if you ask me, we've gone this long without really using it.

Ohhh GM... I'll stay out that conversation. Just waiting till Nissan puts a diesel in the Titan... or I come back from overseas and get the new Dodge XXXL Cab 2500 through AAFES.

Careful man... this is always how it starts. You say it's sexy, then next thing it's tricked you into loving it, and then you're walking down the aisle....

Nvm, just had flashback. Shhh guys, don't say anything to the wife
