has anyone hear of Pyle Brand or Power Acoustik Brand? are they any good at all? or are they like cheapo. lemme know what u think. and what are they compared to sony?

 

i had some pyle speakers when i got my max. They were 6-1/2 with 100wats each. They sounded decent but i replaced them with some pioneers speakers. There was really no big difference. just a little bit.

 

read Pyle's name then think of catchy phrases to associate with it such as: man my speakers sound like a PYLE of crap...or damn my PYLE amp has alot of distortion. stay away from pyle. power acoustic makes decent amps at best but IMO I'd still search for other options.

 

id never put either of them in any car id own ...would rather take my chances on a used amp

i have a Power Acoustik amp and two Power Acoustik 10's and i love them my amp has never gone out on me.

 

Theyre both pretty much products to stay away from...

PA makes ok budget amps. If you want decent budget amps look at Profile, US Acoustics, Lanzar Opti series, MTX, etc.

 

Power Accoustic is now the parent company of Soundstream. They make budget amps or as i like to call them 'if lightning strikes I'll put out rated power without audible distortion' amps...They actually have some decent SPL subs in their higher lines and some huge sub amps. Problem is you have to go with such a huge overated amp, so that you land in the usable power range you need for your application.

It is a better product overall in comparison to Pyramid, Pyle, Boss....and the other fleamarket brands
