New stereo..

2 questions...

I have a 98 maxima with a BOSE and,

1. If I were to buy a new head unit, would I have to bypass the amps?
2. Need to know how to remove the stock HU in order to do so.

Question 1 no you do not have to bypass the amps but depending on what wiring kit or if you use a wiring kit you will have to use the RCA outputs from the radio and connect them where the radio would power non amplified speakers.

Question 2 There are two tabs where the defroster and hazard lights are you have to pry it out and then up and their will be two brass screws. Then you have to remove the plastic plate on the gear selector and then remove the ashtray which will take a bit of force because of two hidden clips and their will be two more brass screws.
