Getting there (system finished) pics

Well as some of you know, I'm having a new system installed into my Frontier.

Here's a couple of pics to wet your appetite.

Everything is about done. They're waiting on my subs to come in. Then they'll build the amp rack. The Dynamat and alarm/remote start is done. Subs are due in today or tomorrow.

Check out the Frontier link below to see a couple of other pics.

I believe 29 hz... they said they were building it to Memphis's specs. And if I recall correctly, it calls for 29. Can't remember for sure.

Well the truck is done. I'm going today after work to pick it up. I was talking to the guy up at the shop and I qoute

"You're going to want the 1100 D soon, I have your amp turned all the way up to get all 4 to run decently. You will also want to get new highs, they can't really keep up with the subs anymore. But it is loud... I couldn't sit in the truck all that long. It was hitting so hard I couldn't see straight, and the pressure was hurting my eyes"

Slight downfall on the amp. He said it came in under the budget, so I'm going to talk to him about trading in the amp for the 1100 D. I might fork up the money so I can get the amp anyway. I don't like running an amp with the gain more than halfway. And doing a temporary install on the amp till I get ready for the Components and it's amp.

And if what he said is true, and the highs are having trouble competing with the subs. I might be getting those sooner than I expected.

Well I got it today. I love my remote start. I got an AstroStart 5204. Has screen feedback and everything.

I was going to go with Memphis's new MC1100D (different shell design) But I decided to wait. I was going to get an awesome deal $559 installed. The amp is $679 regulary. But my 500 D hits fine for right now. I have the remote gain so I keep it kind of down so as not to work the amp too much. Oh boy does it hit though. I had the windows rolled up, and my wife said I was rattling all her mirrors on her Highlander.

I would get pics, but it started raining. Plus, they have to put a new Mobile FX sticker on my truck. They put on one of their older ones, and it started peeling. It was still pretty fresh on the truck when it started raining. Atleast my M logo stickers stayed.

So tomorrow after work I'm going to get some pics. The vent cover didn't work out like we wanted. He wanted to paint in MEMPHIS on it, but it wasn't catching right. So we nixed that.

They had to add one more layer of Dynamat. The roof was still rattling after 2 layers. Now it doesn't. They said my back window rattles. I have noticed anything, but I haven't really stood outside the truck.

I can't wait to get that new amp. I've set it up for next tax return. The list for next years upgrade.

Kenwood Navi Package (KNA-DV4100 / DDX7015) ($2500)
Memphis MC1100D ($559)
Memphis MC150 ($200)
Memphis 6.5" Multi Sync Component set ($390)

Expensive upgrade next year. Around $4000.... but then the truck will be finished.

my friend at work complained that they hurt his back (*****)

Does give a nice back massage. the amp ended up being hidden under the box. No problems of overheating yet, but I've been in break in phase so.

But I'm upgrading to the new MC1100D later this year.

screw breaking them in, crank 'em up! seriously though, a lot of factories test the subs before shipping them out, and unless they have some super stiff suspension, breaking them in isn't really needed...my $.02

non-the-less, that looks awesome. kinda overkill for me though

Not enough for me though. I'm dumping another $4000 into my system next tax return.

Well it's cruiser night here... so I'm going out to see all the nice oldies, and show off my new system. I'll read all the nice "awesome setup" posts later tonight

Later guys

Nope... I always have to have my seat at an angle. Otherwise it's uncomfortable to drive. But the sub doesn't even touch it.

As far as hearing it, I will be taking the video tomorrow (weather permitting) And I'll be uploading it onto the realmofexcursion.com website. I have to show what M-Class will do. BTW. Mirrors are not an option when the system is cranked all the way. I'm surprised they actually held their position. Cause I can't see a dang thing out of them. Windows up or down.

Now to just figure out a way to keep the back window from rattling.
