Oppinions on JVC Products...

hey guys,
I just ordered my 7 inch monitor from redmax and now i need a in dash dvd player. I found a JVC KD-ADV6160 for 260. It seems to have all kinda of feature and even Giga MP3? Ive never owned a JVC product before. Does anyone have this unit or something similar? I would like to how you feel about JVC or this unit itself. Ive found there to be limited selection to indash DVD receivers. What do you all use with you monitor?

Thanks

Sean

The JVC Aresenal series really is quite an impressive step up from JVCs usual product line. I have owned one of their Arsenal (AR-5000) decks for around 4 months now and am very impressed with its quality. If it has the features you want, at the price you want, then I say that the name "JVC" shouldn't stop you from buying it, because for me, their product has been great.

They're nice even when you don't consider the price. Seriously.

I had JVC in a couple of my past cars. For reliability, they worked out great. I usually take good care of my vehicles unlike my brothers. That said, the HU outlasted the torture of my brothers. The cars were passed through the family with no changes to the HU.

The Aux input on the front of that JVC is a big plus.

Doesn't Nakamichi (manufactuer of some of the best SQ decks) make the high-end Rockford stuff, then Rockford slaps their name on it?

Also of note, that RF deck is basically a dead head... no internal amp aside from the 100W center channel...

Where did you see that RF Headunit? I may have to order one...

That JVC HU is quite nice as well... In a system with no speaker amp I'd go with the JVC, with amp I'd go with RF.

No, Denon used make a few older RF HU's....8240/8250 platinums

Nakamici is currently in midst of financial ruin.

That JVC is actually nicely feature packed....24bit, 5v outs....

That RF is a nice SQ deck, but at the moment RF has dropped out of the HU game and not only is that deck a refurb, but its discontinued to boot.

Ahhh, that's right... my memory is toast

Yes, that JVC is quite nice. Has a nice clean faceplate design as well as having the hardware to back it up...
