Audiobahn Amps Problem?

I've been lookin around for amps and I notice that Audiobahn is very popular on Ebay for some reason, whether it is a 200W RMS or 2000W RMS anywhere from 1 to 4 channels . I thought they were good amps. Is there somethin I should watch out for which makes them so popular on sites like Ebay?

As long as your buying from a big reputable ebay dealer you should be okay.

Just watch out for anything without big chrome flames on it, thats what makes amps so good.

My advice: Save more money and get something better.

I've never owned their amps so I can't really say they are bad, their lower line isn't that great, the HC series put out, for the same money or a little more you can get MTX. Bling factor is why alot of people buy, who else is running all chrome and flame themes?

Audiobahn makes crappy speakers, I think everyone agrees on that but there amps are decent, at least in my experience. There rated at 13.8 volts and I think they put out what is stated if not very close to it. I would put it on the level of Hifonics, Lanzar Vibe, etc.

i bought an audiobahn off ebay for $150 and say it at CC for $350. exact same amp. works great just has the same problem that every other audiobahn amp of that series had, it over heats sometimes. but other then that the amp has worked great since i bought it and i don't regret it.

Simply put...All bling, No sing.

Just your typical 'fancy' product. 99% of their sales are due to appearance.

I was probably lookin at the same one u have cuase the one I'm lookin at is 800 watts.. i think the model is 8000t or somethin like that. My friend has the same one and I think it sounds good. I'm not lookin to compete with it or anything, I just like the back massage when listenin to my Blazin Hip Hop and R&B.

Like a lot of people have said, some of their products are oriented towards bling. Aside from that though, there seems to be a dislike for Audiobahn on the org. However, if you check around with other audio discussion groups you'd find some differences in opinions. I think there tends to be a bias towards certain brands (or against) that are mostly due to a few select people on the org and then perpetuated by the rest...most of which really don't have any first-hand knowledge and are merely repeating what they've heard.

My friend had the A8000T, which I believe is fan cooled. He was running it with a pair of 800 watt Audiobahn 12's and that thing was LOUD. I could hear him from three blocks away with it at full volume. Then they were stolen. Sad story.
