Well exactly how strapped for cash are you?

Personnaly I'd go with a MC500D amp ($350), and 2 12" M-Class subs ($120ish ea) from Memphis Car Audio. Both of those in a nicely tuned box will blow you away.

the 4 of mine shake everything in site... pic can be found on the frontier site below

there are cheaper alternatives. that's nearly 400 bucks in subs. so if you're strapped for cash, i'd consider other options.

then i'd put off buying stuff. odds are you're gonna change your mind along the way and it's just too much of a hassle to return stuff. take your time, no need to rush putting a system together.

I'm still in a small delima. I need to get the MC1100D amp ($559) for my subs. (I don't like running that 500 watt with the 4 of them) But I'm also going to do the component set ($400), and get the 150 watt ($80) to run those.

The delima is, they're going to build a custom amp rack for the 2 amps. But I don't want to run splitters for the RCA, so that means getting a new H/U. Well I want the Kenwood DVD/NAV double din unit ($2200)

I won't have the $4000 to do all of it. How bad do you guys think it would sound if I just used a splitter on that stock deck w/ LOC?

(edit) btw... just jacking your thread a little

He has $450....that's it. Considering how he can bag the Alpine R's fpr $100/ea, that's quite the savings.

Another thing that was left out was that trunk space must be kept to a MAXIMUM. These can be sealed nicley with some fiberglass work in the rear lightwells of the trunk...so we'd need something cheap that hits hard sealed.

...gets a bit tougher when the constraints are fully laid out.

'chillin until the console is done. They are going to be the same color, so I am going to hold off until the center console is done until and paint em both together.

Lanzar Opti's are the only Lanzars you should throw your $$ at-if thats the company you are looking into.

For 12's that are VERY CHEAP, yet great SQ and can get loud- look into Arc KAR series
