Any nice stereo systems at the July 10 NJ area meet?

I love my Maxima to death, but I could honestly care less about mods and stuff at this point. The last think I really need is a new expensive hobby....so I wouldn't really go up to check out nice Maximas....

I would, however, show if there was going to be some stereo enthusiasts there and some nice systems to listen to.

Anyone going?

PS...what does a man have to do to get permission to post pics (notlinks) directly in a post? I got some rough in progress install pics, my ECA site isn't letting me upload now.....

Several. I don't know if Don is going, but Manny's system is well...what I would call an audiophile's wet dream.

You need to have them hosted somewhere. Then type in the following:

Manny as in MannyNJ2k2max ? He said his is in progress. I don't hang here much, but I'm quickly learning that you, metal maxima are apparently somewhere in the realm of installer/dealer/enthusiast/audiophile ? Got a link to your install(s). What do you deal in..

Were you the one that had "*****" where otherwise the ashtray and lighter would be? What year was that in? Was that custom or a trim kit you can buy?

I am a chemical engineer by day, car interior hobbyist by night. I would say that I am an audopile, but only to the extent that my budget limits me. I still have alot of exterior work yet to be done, so I am going to focus on the audio this year. I am installing everything at the end of this summer, or as soon as I finish all of this blasted fiberglassing, painting, LED work, etc...

My system is pretty modest and looks like so:

- Alpine 9833 HU
- Arc Audio 4150-XXK amp
- Arc Audio ACS 265 Comps
- Rainbow SL 165 Coaxes
- Adire Koda 10" sub - sealed @ 1.0 cubed
- +300sqft sound deadening from Second Skin Audio
- 7" Microvision Monitor
- Cheapo DVD player
- Siriuis Tuner
- Big 3 Upgrade
- Optima Yellow Top

...I would love to meet with everyone at the meet, but my interior is well... in peices at present. ...at least I don't have to worry about anyone breaking in, it already looks that way!

Alrighty, I'm gonna see what I can do. Manny and Pearl's systems sound worth the trip. My install is also a work in progress, but at least at a point where it's playable and sounds good. right when I think I have it tuned, I either end up needing to off my power wire (ending settings on 8053) or decide it can be better.

Pearl that install would have taken me a lot more than a weekend. Great job....

Luckily, I have a nice guy nearby who happens to have an audiophile ear and be a Iasca Pro champ, so once everything else is installed and up to par, I'll just go to him and copy down his settings....

Can't make it tomorrow.

Broke HU (replacement on the way...2 CD's at once is a bad thing ) so dash is pulled apart and is staying that way for a week, as I'm doing a lot of rewiring/routing/fusing junk back there, I figure I'm going to take the time, get it done, get my new HU, put it in, and have everything good and clean and how I want it.....

I will definately be at the ECA meet the 24th and Metal Max and any other diehard car audio nuts, keep in touch and I may be up for meeting/swinging by sometime if you're not too far away.
