Kenwood Reciever Volume??

I know there's not too many out there with the KVT915DVD model but I figure volume settings shouldn't vary that much between similar models as the KVT815 and the double din model. Anyway, I got my system installed at the local Kenwood Dealer. I noticed that I was able to turn the voulme up to max(35) and it was still bareable to the ear. I can't even get it as loud as I would like too. At around 20 I can barely hear anything. I have never owned a reciever where I was able to do this. Even my cheap recievcers got too loud to be turn all the way up. Anyone have any clue as to what could be causing this? I've gon threw every menu in the system with no luck.

I was out of town so my girl dropped off and picked up my ride for me. I have been doing all my bizness with these guys so I assumed they wouldn't stiff me.

Yeah my buddy said the same thing about his 7015 HU, 20-23 is plenty. I get to 35 and can't go any further and its not even that loud. The speakers are running off the HU, when I mentioned it briefly on a visit to the shop guy, he told me I should amp my highes, which I've considered, but still my volume shouldn't be that low from the start. I was wondering if anyone else system was like this.

do you have bose or did you run new speaker wire to the headunit from each of the 4 speakers ? Most likely if you have bose You have the scosche adapter or pac adapter that controls the gain on each bose amp seperatly.

No I don't have Bose. I have kenwood speakers. I actually stopped by the shop yesterday and had the guy look at it. He made some adjustments in the menu settings and it is a little better now, but I can still get to 35 without a problem, it is louder, but I still believe it should be louder.
