kenwood excelon z919 cd/mp3 receiver? $650 at good guys...what do you guys thinks? pro's cons? i'd like to base the system around this head unit. i have speakers and sub.. the 6.5 infinity kappas all around and the stealthbox. now i need to power them and i'm also thinking of getting an eq....any set up suggestions? thanks

Looks like a good choice... convenience of MP3, plus all/most of the features you'd want in a higher end unit (3 pairs of outputs, etc...)

Try dynamat or equivalent in the doors, it'll help
And equalizer... hmmm... personal preference, I think.... Really high end stores always push the trunk mounted ones that they tune, and that you can't just set on the fly. Heck, one high end store here in Tampa pushes TWO equalizers, one for front, one for rear. (I don't agree with that)
What the heck... get an in-dash EQ... never underestimate the joys of being able to show your stereo off to your friends by turning up the bass and making their internal organs vibrate (which you can easily do with the Stealthbox)... Then, you can set it back to musical settings for your normal audiophile listening...
