Ok, I was going about the procedure to take out my Bose Stock Headunit and put it in my screen and headunit.. I ran into a problem.. I dont know how many maximas on here have this, but Its a thing next to your auto shifter that you can lock your shifter into.. Its right by it, and well i need to remove the trim.. But that thing is in the way, and I was told i need to have someone remove it from under the car.. Is this what i have to do, Anyone on here have what im talking about? How did you go about doing this?

 

You shouldnt have to go under your car for anything. You shouldnt have to do anything with the shifter besides move it into gear to get the center console to pop out. The center console around the shifter itself should be in with only clips, then the ashtray has clips and screws, then behind that theres 2 screws for the brackers that hold the radio in, and the ac vents/controls pop out as one, then theres 2 more screws on top for the radio bracketing.

Dont understand. The Car came with a Lock for the Shifter.. The trim is not big enough to pull up over the shifter.. I wish i could fin da picture to show you what i mean..
