knock?

knock?

Having a weird problem..need help i have a 2001 nissan max se 5speed 3.0 and sometimes when im in 2nd and up gear or at rpms higher than 3k it boggs down like it wants to cut off like its stalling .sometimes it does i was thinking knock but my knock sensor is not attached unless there is second oneive octane boost qnd it sorta corrected it but i wanna know is something else besides gas what about low oil?

low oil level is easy, check the dipstick low oil wouldnt really make it stall out and bog though

any codes if you scan it?

No, low oil is not the cause of your problem. If it's stalling at these RPM's, then it's either starving for fuel (fuel pump, fuel filter) or timing is getting messed up somewhere (Crankshaft PS REF/POS, Camshaft PS, etc.).

Any know that....thats nit what i was asking...i said if low oil level can cause engine knock ...only codes is knock sensor(which iSnt attached)

Yes it can... Why is the knock sensor not attached? Is your oil level low?

Well i think the knock sensor is there to retard timing and prevent knocking but hey what do i know
