Lets get a new thread on the theory of break in going. I think there would be some interest in settling some myths.

Hey, good brand choice, i couldn't be more happy with my soundsplinter... thanks Robert_J

Robert was also the one that directed me to Sound Splinter .

Breaking in entails two things.

1. You becoming acclimated to it.

2. The gradual increased malleability of the spider.

Not saying one has more of an effect than the other.

doesn't matter what 15 you get, you're not going to use the entire diameter of the driver. plus cone area can be compensated by linear throw (to a certain extent).

Nice drivers!

God there are some beast subs out now at great prices (http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=361 ) . I'm gonna have to take this year and just play around with subs. I love getting packages like that in the mail.

IDMAX...I've run the v.1, 2, and 3 now in various installs so I need a change. I got the one cause I was planning/thinking/hoping to run two IB from the rear deck, but funds got light, and installing gets tedious. I'm fine with a carpeted wood box and a single 12 for the next year...with experimenting of course...
