ok i know the eclipse has all that nice 5 volt preout puts and all that nice techonlogy. but this pioneer hu is so pretty.. lol
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...552934,00.html

ok i called my dealer just to see how much they were selling it for, they said 190 plus tax... i dont know not bad.

now i was originally going to get this.

http://www.eclipse-web.com/cd/cd5415.html

i think they wanted about 210 or something for this one.

i know they have the one year theft, and esn. But i guess ppl are starting to know more about eclipse, and someone sees a eclipse hu in my car, there going to be like.... hhhm he couldve bought some cheap regular jvc hu but he got an eclipse, so he must have a nice and expenisve system. pops the trunk and thats that. thats the only thing holding me back from the eclipse is the no detachable face.

The thing is i started college now, and parking is not available on campus for me right now... and im afraid right now just leaving my car on the streets....

Avi,

Why post? You know what most of us will say anyway. We you starved for attention as a child?

Ok so someone sees an Eclipse Bottom of the bucket model which is in the same ballpark price as the one you were looking at in Pioneer, so why would they think any less of the Pioneer? Cause the face is off? Its really not hard At All to tell what kind of radio it is even with the face off. So Im not getting your point at all.

Either way, I know your a firm believer of form over function, rather than function over form, so go for it.

BTW..I sell the 5425 for $199.

I don't have it yet. But I'm assuming it will sound tons better than my OEM HU that I've only used in my Maxima.

LOL @ dolphins. One of the first things I look for in a head unit.

Not that I use em all at once, and one I don't really use, but I'm up to 4 remotes in the car...at a point where it isn't cool anymore...but funny

Microvision remote I don't use
Eclipse HU remote
Microvision DVD MP3 remote
and the Sirius remote.

Theres no way I'm surviving this year without losing one of em....
