Shopping For a new HU alpine 9853? eclipse 8445?

Hey all, ive decided too ship my kenwood kdc x859 off to service one last time and sell it once it arrives back. now since it would be atleast a week to a month or more down time no CD player...gotta find a new one soon since my warrenty on the kenwood expires august 5th ... ive gathered a few of my favorites. only 2....and im open too suggestions.must be an mp3 comp... also how big of a diffrence would the sound be on the 2, that i might notice?

Alpine 9853 Alpine 9855 cost 330+tax best buy/sound advice installed downside i see to this 2volt pre outs ACK, is that really bad? heard the higher the better at 4.5 now

Eclipse 8445 8445 now this Cd player comes with the 8volts havnt been able too find this one for under 499.00 tho is its only draw back, but looksl iek it has features out the ying yang

perhaps the

Eclipse 5435 5435 butt ehh i dunno its price how much of a diffrence it is from the 8445...

by the way the headunit is gonna be for my system, dont need the built in amp , so the preouts play a heavy part(jl 500.1 12w6v2, kicker kx650.4, orion p6.2 comps, type R 6.5s)

any other suggestions..... my price range is descent 0-400 or so, will push it for an exceptional radio like the eclipse(if it is) any imput on these and or others id appreciate it.

Eclipse > All. Alpine peaked a few years back, and, yes, 2V preouts is crap. If youve got the money, you wont be disappointed in an 8-series Eclipse.

The Eclipse hands down without a doubt. Just making sure your buying it legitely (ie: not online).

Go to A and B Audio in Tarpon and bargain, if they still carry Eclipse. When I used to go there and theyd recognize me and know I sent them a couple cars, Id haggle with them all the time, although I wouldnt really trust their installs. Thats the only place youd have a chance of working a deal, places like CC/BB/SA you wont be able to negotiate.

Im sure your distributor would be happy to hear your selling their products online and risk losing their license to distribute Eclipse. Not too smart if you want to keep your job IMO. Not trying to be a d!ck or ruin a sale, but its strictly prohibited through Eclipse, not to mention shops like Don running an honest business, but getting undercut by people who sell 'illegally'

damn, am i in a bad mood tonight or what. sorry.

no no it would be from a local shop, do you sell it? price?, i see you have the 8455, whats the diffrence in the two?

and too KPR, at A&B is where i first saw the 8445
and fell in love with it.... looks and performance, cant go wrong right? but it doesnt suprise me, they do seem like the place you can haggle with...but unfortunatly i have moved from the area, and now live in south florida just south of fort lauderdale

is there any other HU options that might fit the criteria??? just weighin my options at this point, the extra 170 for the eclipse seems too bury the alpine in my mind , just gotta find a local shop around here that sells them, that i like. see what they say.

last i knew when i bought mine and i'm sure the prices haven't changes it was about $199 for the 5425 and $299 for the 5435.

the only big differences between the 2 is that the 5435 comes with a remote, an aux input adapter, and has an extra color option for the buttons.

The 9855 has 4v pre amp outputs. The models ending in a 1 or a 3 have a little over 2v.
