high powered speaker output?
I want to run an active crossover with a 1/3 octave equalizer, and they both require the use of high-to-low level adapters if being used with a head unit with high powered speaker outputs..
I like my current hu just great, (Alpine CDA 7876) but I do not know if it has high powered or low powered speaker outputs. (I'm thinking high powered)?
I have seen and read on eBay about some Eclipse hu's that are not powered, is this what I would need to run these electrical components?
Anyhoo, thanks whoever can help me.

high powered or low powered ???
Im guesing you mean high level or low level???
Any deck with a built in amp has high level output. This is just the speaker wire. Most even entry level decks (unless its maybe Pyle) have at least one pair of RCA preouts (low level). That Alpine deck should have 3 pairs of '4 Volt' preouts, as well as the 60x4 high level that Alpine used to make.
I have no idea if Im even on the right track with your question but I hope it helps.
